Overview

Beyèfî-g̈a Thîyî Bî was founded durring the late 10th century, by Gaw̋ch Ca̋mbó̄ 'Zena Coco' Cä̋chī Bërmér Ya̋mbó̄r Èlêm. The establishment of Beyèfî-g̈a Thîyî Bî was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Beyèfî-g̈a Thîyî Bî's construction back out of the project. Gaw̋ch Ca̋mbó̄ 'Zena Coco' Cä̋chī Bërmér Ya̋mbó̄r Èlêm pushed on reguardles, and Beyèfî-g̈a Thîyî Bî was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Beyèfî-g̈a Thîyî Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 10th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Beyèfî-g̈a Thîyî Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Beyèfî-g̈a Thîyî Bî is buildings are arranged arround a single premissive paverstone mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the town a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. Beyèfî-g̈a Thîyî Bî's millitarily questionable fortifications are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

A look around Beyèfî-g̈a Thîyî Bî gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring jsut long enough for it to be uncomfortable. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes.

Cultural Notes

Beyèfî-g̈a Thîyî Bî's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for the combined use of arcuated and trabeated construction, employing arches and constructed with post and lintel. The arch served as the style's chief structural element, with flanking columns serving as buttresses or decorations. While the general shape of their structures could be generously described as simplistic, the use of these arches and columns created a most distinct ascetic which is easily distinguishable on sight to armatures and experts alike.

Points of Interest

Beyèfî-g̈a Thîyî Bî is cursed with recurrent spells of some troublesome disease. The affliction isn’t so fatal as to make living there impossible, but it adds suffering and expense to local lives. The plague might be the product of an ancient curse, the results of long lost toxic remains, or an unavoidable byproduct of whatever industry or purpose justifies the city. It’s probably not overly contagious, but visitors may be in some peril all the same.

Due to a magical anomaly, Beyèfî-g̈a Thîyî Bî is directly accessible from a nearby river, despite the lack of a physical connection between the town's pond and the river.
